Recipe for Smoked Ham Tagliatelle with Garlic and Herbs

Try this super-speedy, super-tasty pasta dish.


Serves: 2 Preparation Time: 20 minutes


11 weight watchers points per recipe


You will need


125 g Fresh Tagliatelle

2 Cloves of Garlic, Crushed

1 Mediem Leek, Chopped

250g Mushrooms, sliced

1 tablespoon dried mixed herbs

125ml Vegitable stock

125g Low fat Cheese (philadelphia)

125g Wafer-thin smoked ham

2 table spoons skimmed milk

salt and freshly ground pepper (to taste)




Step 1:

Cook the tagliatelle in plenty of lightly salted boiling water, according to the instructions on the packet.



Step 2:

Meanwhile place the garlic, leek, mushrooms and herbs in a large saucepan with the stock and bring to the boil. Turn down the heatand simer for 10 minutes, untill the leeks are soft.


Step 3:

Add the soft cheese, ham, milk and season to the vegitables and mix together.


Step 4:

Drain the Tagliatelle an add it to the sauce tossing everything togetherwell. serve imediatly.


Variations

For a vegetarian version just omit the ham and use vegiterian cheese.


Try substituting wine for the stock alhough this will add 2 points per recipe.


For a sweeter flavour try using onions instead of leek.
