Gammon Steak with Pineapple and fried Egg

Gammon Steak is a classic dish, this recipe with the pineapple and fried egg is heavon on a folk.

 

You will need the folowing:

  • 2 Thin Gammon Steaks 150g-200g
  • 2 Pineapple Slices
  • 3 Knobs Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Caster Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Oliver Oil
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • Black pepper to taste

How to cok gammon steak with pineapple and egg

 

Prepare the Gammon Steak

 

Cut the fat of the Gammon Steak with a kitchen scissors about 2cms apart to prevent the Gammon Steak from Curling when cooking. Melt 1 knob of butter and brush both sides of the Gammon Steaks.

 

Step One

 

Preheat the grill on the highest setting. Once heated place the Gammon Steaks onto the Grill pan. Fry for about 3 - 4 minutes each side or untill the fat is brown and crisp. Take from the Grill and cover loosly with foil in a warm place.

 

Step Two

 

Heat two large frying pans over a medeum heat. In one frying pan put the 2 knobs of butter and in the other add the olive oil. Put the 2 pineapple rings in the pan with the butter and sprinkle with the caster sugar, fry for 3 - 4 minutes each side. Mean while fry the eggs in the olive oil until the whites are set and the yorks are still runny in the middle.

 

Step Three

 

Put the Gammon Steaks on a warm plate and place a pineapple and a egg on each Gammon Steak. Serve with Chips or anything you fancy.
