Mint Sauce Recipe Indian Style

This Indian style mint sauce recipe is ideal as an accompaniment to our onion bhaji recipe found on this website. This recipe will keep in the fridge for a few days and can also accommodate Donner Kebabs etc.

You will need


  • 500g Natural Yogurt
  • 2 Tablespoons ready made mint sauce
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander
  • 2 Teaspoons Caster Sugar
  • Pinch of Tumeric


How to make Mint Sauce Indian Style


Step One

Combine all the ingredient in a blender and blend until fully combined.


Step Two

Transfer to a bowl or jug and refridgerate until well chilled.


Step Three

Serve with Onion Bhaji or a food of your choice.

Salmon Philadelphia Garlic and Herb Slowly Roasted

Slowly roasted Salmon with a Garlic and Herb toping. Delicious recipe for Salmon lovers. Easy to make and full of goodness.


You Will Need

  • 50 g sliced white bread
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • a few fresh  chives, chopped
  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 100 g Philadelphia Light with Garlic & Herbs
  • 200 g mixed salad leaves
  • 600 g (1 ¼ lb ) new potatoes

How to cook Salmon Philadelphia Garlic and Herb


Step One

Pre-heat oven to 180°C, 350°F, Gas Mark 4.


Step Two

Place the bread in a food processor and blend into fine breadcrumbs. Stir in the chives and lemon zest.


Step Three

Spread the salmon fillets with a thick layer of philadelphia and place on a lightly oiled baking tray. Top with the flavoured breadcrumbs, lightly pressing them into the Philadelphia. Roast in the oven for 20 - 25 minutes or until cooked.


Step Four

Meanwhile, cook the new potatoes in boiling water until tender. ...

Ultimate Chicken Stir-fry

Chicken Stir Fry Recipe. A gorgeous oriental celebration of colours and tastes - and it's quick and easy to make. Devour our stir fried chicken recipe.

 

You will need the following

For the Sauce

  • 1 teaspoon chili oil (you can substitute sesame oil)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger
  • 3 spring onions (reserve the green tops) slice the white part of the onions very thin
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3/4 cup water

For the stir fry

  • 1.5 lb chicken breast (cut into 1 - 2 inch pieces) You can use beef for this one too!
  • 1 lb mushrooms (shitake, button or whichever you prefer) stems removed, cut into large pieces
  • 1 can whole water chestnuts
  • 3/4 cup unsalted cashews (you can rinse salted cashews through a strainer if you can't find unsalted)
  • 3 - 5 green tops from spring onions (cut into 2 - 3 inch strips)
  • 1 cup carrots (slice into 2 - 3 inch strips)

 Minted Lamb Casserole

Minted Lamb Casserole

Perfect for the winter month this minted lamb casserole is great for a family meal and is low in fat and is great for the whole family.

Per Recipe = 14 Points


You Will Need

  • 400g lean diced lamb
  • 4 carrots sliced
  • 2 celery sliced
  • 500ml Lamb Stock
  • 20g Gravy granules
  • 1 tablespoon mint sauce


How to cook Minted Lamb Casserole


Step One


Preheat the oven to 170°c (gas mark 3)


Step Two


Place the Lamb and the vegetables into a casserole dish


Step Three


In a jug make the stock and add the gravy granules and mint sauce to form a gravy. Pour the gravy mix into the casserol;e with the Lamb and Vegetables.


Step Four


Cover and cook in the oven for 1 1/2 hours. Uncover and cook for a further 15 minutes


Step Five


Serve
